The Opinionated Woman

It’s who I am.
Who I’ve always been.

I’m the person who people come to when they want an opinion, advice, an outside perspective on something.

I’m the one who has something to say.

I’m the one who has been hiding, holding back and keeping my mouth shut.

I’m sorry.

I’m sorry to me, I’m sorry to you.
I’m sorry for those who need/want to hear something I have to say, and I’m sorry to those who don’t, cos you’re gonna. Unless you choose to leave. It’s OK, I don’t mind. You do you.

Some people don’t like some opinions, and that’s fine.
I’ve met plenty who don’t like mine. That’s fine too.
I’m no longer here to cut myself down to their opinion of how to be.
I no longer want to live within the “Play Small Handbook of life” rules.

This is my life, just as you have yours, and that’s all there is to it.

I’m here to carve my own path.

You’re welcome to come along for the ride.
